HV System rework

The purpose of the HV system rework is to improve safety by having less exposed high voltage connectors, and also improve convenience by having a easy and obvious place to add systems that go directly across the battery pack.

Power distribution improvement

Previously, QM had only two things connected to the battery pack. One was a 50A anderson connector that was moved between the charger and the climate control system, and the other was the inverter that ran the main drive.

Now, we'd like to be able to have both climate control and chargers connected at the same time. The goal is to have:

  • ) 50A 'guest' anderson port for plugging in instrumentation, chargers, etc
  • ) 50A 'charger' anderson port for the onboard charger, wired back to the back of the car where the charger will be located
  • ) 50A 'climate control' anderson port for the climate control system
  • ) no-current 'instrumentation' connections to the BatMod
  • ) Have what was once the splitter junction under the car become a straight-through passthrough, safely insulated, with a cover.
  • ) Place the splitter junction inside enclosed plastic box bolted to the rear firewall under the inverter. (Will need to be installed *before* the inverter is returned to the car i.e. next week sometime. (Feb 1)
