Sheer's approach
From EvTechWiki
My current planned approach involves an array of modified mk3 regulators placed on all the batteries in the pack. A SheerGoalSystem Goal Oriented master controller will keep track of the relative fullness of each battery using these probes combined with a current sensor, and make adjustments after each cycle to the regulation setpoint to try to make all the batteries equally charged.
A further planned refinement involves a Charge Shuttling system that will actually move power between the batteries using a capacitor-isolated bus. I'm working on this system with Lee Hart.
I'm calling the project MK3EB. You can read all the hairy bits at SheerImplDetails.
I've also decided to slowly migrate my car's webpage to evtech, since it's more of a experimental vehicle for various ev technologies (and a excuse for me to play with building things) than it is a shining example of EVdom at this point. The car will be at SheerQM and linked off of same.
